Welcome offers

Online casinos offer bonuses as a way to attract new players and to keep existing players coming back. Bonuses can come in many different forms, such as free spins on slot machines, free chips for table games, or cashback on losses.

There are a few different types of bonuses that are commonly offered at online casinos:

Welcome bonuses: These are bonuses that are offered to new players when they first sign up at an online casino. They are often large bonuses that are meant to entice players to join the casino.

No deposit bonuses: These are bonuses that are offered to players without requiring them to make a deposit. They are usually smaller bonuses, but they can still be a good way to try out a new casino.

Deposit bonuses: These are bonuses that are offered to players when they make a deposit at an online casino. They can be a percentage of the deposit amount, or they can be a fixed amount.

Reload bonuses: These are bonuses that are offered to players who have already made a deposit at an online casino, in an effort to keep them coming back.

Loyalty bonuses: These are bonuses that are offered to players who have been loyal to a particular online casino for a long period of time. They can be in the form of free spins, free chips, or cashback.

To redeem a casino bonus, players usually need to follow a few simple steps:

*Sign up at the online casino and create an account.

*Make a deposit, if required.

*Claim the bonus by entering a promo code or clicking a special link, if required.

*Meet the wagering requirements, if applicable. Most bonuses come with wagering requirements, which means that players need to play through the bonus a certain number of times before they can withdraw the winnings.

Withdraw the winnings, if applicable. Some bonuses may be cashable, which means that players can withdraw the bonus amount once they have met the wagering requirements. Others may be non-cashable, which means that the bonus amount is deducted from the player’s winnings when they try to withdraw.

Online casinos can afford to give out bonuses because they make their money from the games that players play. The house always has a built-in advantage in games like slots and roulette, so even if players win big on a bonus, the casino is still likely to come out ahead in the long run.

BONUS TERMS

When it comes to online gambling, bonus terms and conditions are an important aspect to consider before deciding to make a deposit. These terms and conditions outline the rules and requirements that players must follow in order to claim and use a bonus, and they can vary significantly from one casino to another.

One of the most important things to consider when it comes to bonus terms is the wagering requirement. This is the number of times that a player must play through the bonus amount before they are allowed to withdraw any winnings. For example, if a casino has a wagering requirement of 35x, and a player claims a bonus of $100, they will need to wager a total of $3,500 before they can withdraw their winnings.

In addition to wagering requirements, bonus terms may also include other restrictions, such as maximum bet sizes, eligible games, and time limits. For example, a casino may only allow players to use their bonus on slot games, or they may limit the amount of money that a player can bet per spin.

It is important to read the bonus terms and conditions before making a deposit at an online casino, as this will help players understand the rules and requirements of the bonus and avoid any potential issues later on. Some online casinos have been known to have very strict or unfair terms, so it is always a good idea to do some research and make sure that the terms are reasonable and fair.

Overall, reading the bonus terms and conditions is an essential step for any player looking to claim a bonus at an online casino. By understanding the rules and requirements of the bonus, players can make informed decisions about whether or not to claim the bonus and can avoid any potential pitfalls.

BONUS HUNT

The two different interpretations of Bonus Hunting

Bonus hunting is a technique that some online casino players use to try to take advantage of the various bonuses and promotions offered by casinos. The goal of bonus hunting is to maximize the amount of money that a player can win from a casino without risking too much of their own money.

Bonus hunting is also very common method that is used by most of the streamers to maximize entertainment, where the streamers collect as many bonuses as possible with their casino balance, when they manage to get a bonus also known as feature, they close the game and continue with the same procedure with the next game.

Here’s how it works:

The player searches for online casinos that offer generous bonuses, such as large welcome bonuses or no deposit bonuses.

The player signs up at the casino and claims the bonus.

The player plays through the bonus requirements, which typically involve wagering a certain amount of money on games at the casino.

While bonus hunting can be a lucrative strategy for some players, it can also be risky. Many online casinos have wagering requirements that are difficult to meet, and some will even void a player’s winnings if they suspect that the player is trying to abuse the bonus system.

To prevent bonus hunting, many online casinos have implemented various measures. For example, they may limit the amount of money that a player can win from a bonus, or they may require players to make a deposit before they can claim a bonus. Some casinos will also restrict certain games or game types from counting towards the wagering requirements for a bonus.

In addition to these measures, some online casinos may also use software to detect and prevent bonus abuse. For example, they may track a player’s betting patterns and look for any unusual activity that may indicate bonus hunting.

Overall, while bonus hunting can be a tempting strategy for some online casino players, it is important to remember that it carries some risks and may not always be successful. Players should be aware of the terms and conditions of any bonuses they claim and should be prepared to follow the rules and regulations set by the casino.

PROS & CONS

Casino bonuses can be a great way for players to boost their bankroll and try out new games at an online casino. However, it is important to be aware of the pros and cons of these bonuses before deciding to claim one.

One of the main pros of casino bonuses is that they can provide players with extra funds to play with, which can increase the chances of winning. Bonuses can also be a good way for players to try out new games or test out a new casino without risking too much of their own money.

However, there are also some potential downsides to casino bonuses. One of the main cons is that they often come with wagering requirements, which means that players must play through the bonus a certain number of times before they can withdraw any winnings. This can be time-consuming and may not be feasible for all players.

Another potential downside of casino bonuses is that they may come with restrictions on which games they can be used on. For example, a bonus may only be valid on slot games, or it may not be eligible for certain types of table games. This can be frustrating for players who have specific preferences or who want to try out different types of games.

In conclusion, casino bonuses can be a good way for players to boost their bankroll and try out new games, but they also come with some potential drawbacks. Players should be aware of the pros and cons of these bonuses and read the terms and conditions carefully before deciding to claim one.

WHAT IS A SLOT MACHINE?

Slots are the most popular casino game today. The basic rules of this game have not changed since 1899, when Charles Fay created the first slot machine. The player bets and spins a set of reels with symbols on them. Each of these revolving reels locks into a random position. The player wins when the reels come to a stop at a position that allows a line to form with the same symbols. The rarer the symbols, the higher the win amount. The winning amount for hitting each of the combinations is set out in the paytable.

Today, the randomness of the reels that were mechanically stopped has been replaced by random numbers generated by a computer, although the principles remain the same. These principles of randomness are honoured by all licensed game providers. The randomness of slots has several very interesting consequences and it is important that all slot players are smart and understand them.

“The principles of randomness are honoured by all licensed game providers.”

SLOTS OPERATION

Most online slots use drums to represent the outcome of each round. Although the drums are rendered by a computer, the mathematics of the game still has 3 to 5 sets of symbols (virtual drums) that are immobilised in random positions. So why mess with something that has worked well for years?

Modern online slots have many new features that wouldn’t be possible with mechanical reels. Expanding Wild symbols, scatter symbols, free rounds, bonus rounds and more.

RANDOM NUMBER GENERATORS (RNG)

There is one thing that all fair slot games have in common: the outcome of each round is based solely on a random number provided by a Random Number Generator (RNG). The random number generated by the RNG “tells” the reels when to stop and therefore decides the outcome of the game. This means that the same game with the same random number should always give the same result.

The larger the amount of your bets, (in general) the higher the RTP of your betting system. We assume that all other rules of the betting system remain the same.

HOW RANDOM NUMBERS ARE GENERATED AND USED IN SLOT MACHINES

The RNG generates a random number. The mathematical module of the game uses the random number to calculate the position at which the reels must stop. The game places the reels in the positions determined and calculates the result of the round. The result of the round is then presented to the player.

Your victory (or defeat) in each round is determined solely by your luck. The result is not influenced by your previous win/loss, other players’ win/loss or any predictable event. It all comes down to you and the electromagnetic noise in the RNG – simply pure play.

The outcome is not influenced by your previous wins/losses, nor the wins/losses of other players or any predictable event.

This reminds me that I should explain how RNGs work. Modern RNGs that are used in online casinos consist of dedicated hardware to generate random numbers from electromagnetic noise. Just like an old TV with no signal – lots of black and white dots. A black pixel is a 0, a white pixel is a 1. Take a picture of a small part of a TV screen, convert the pixels to 1 and 0, write them into a text file and you get a random number.

The RNG hardware generates thousands of random numbers per second. So on the one hand, it will change the result of the next round if you press the Spin button a second later. However, on the other hand, it has no possibility to predict whether the result will be better or worse as a function of time. Therefore, fair randomness remains.

How do casinos make money?

Now you may be asking yourself: if slots are not manipulated, how do casinos make money out of them?

The answer is simple: slot games are designed to pay out prizes that are lower than the players’ bets on a long-term perspective.

EXAMPLE

Imagine a simple game: give me $1 and toss a coin. If it comes up heads, I pay you $1.50. If it comes up tails, you lose. It’s pretty obvious that the odds are in my favour. In your case, you might win if you get lucky and only play a few rounds, but I have a clear advantage in the long run. The randomness of this game is fair, but the long term odds are not.

Slots are similar, though much more complicated. The mathematics of a slot are defined by:

set of symbols on the virtual reels

win amounts on the paytable.

bonus feature rules and odds

definitions of all bonus features

The combination of the mathematics of the game and the random numbers gives the casino an advantage in the long run. And, this is how casinos make money.

SLOT MYTHS

Now that I’ve explained how fair slots operate, it’s time to bust some of the most popular myths about slots.

Myth 1: “Slot machines have cycles of winning combinations. You can win by watching those cycles and waiting for a new winning cycle.”

This is a myth, as slots effectively work on the basis of fair random numbers. The casino advantage is concealed in the mathematics of the game, and there is absolutely no need to complicate the whole system with any kind of cycle.

In reality you can observe tides of luck and bad luck. However, such fact is just the result of natural randomness and such tides are absolutely unpredictable.

Myth 2: “Slots are programmed not to pay out after a big win and to pay out more when they are flush with cash.”

This is a myth that probably comes from the days of standalone slots, which paid out directly to the winning player. But that was once a much bigger myth than it is now. If you won more money than the slot could pay out, the casino staff would pay out the missing amount.

Modern slot machines are connected to a central server and all wins are paid out by the casino staff, so there is no need to keep the amount of money on a slot machine balanced. Random numbers work perfectly and this myth is unfounded.

Myths 3 and 4: “The feature that allows automatic play pays less than clicking the button to spin manually” and “Pulling the lever on one-handed bandit machines offers better odds than pressing the button to spin.”

None of these myths make sense to anyone who knows how online slots work. The mathematics of the game remain the same and the random numbers remain fair whether you use the auto play feature, the lever or the spin button.
